MARIMUTHU
Primarily, I am a wildlife biologist and holding Masters degree in Wildlife Biology and studied at well-known A.V.C. College, Mannampandal, Mayiladuthurai, which was the only college in India, run this course at that time and pioneered this course. After my post graduation, I worked at Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Vandalur, Chennai for about two years as a biologist and later joined at Zoo Outreach Organization, Coimbatore and my current designation is Senior Education Officer. Looks after ZOO’s Educator Network and overall conservation education activities. Being a master trainer in teacher training workshops conducted more than 50 such a workshops and trained about 1500 trainees as well as from time to time conducting school education programmes particularly for Government School students. This is my extra interest to collect as much as information on local cattle breeds of India and publicize this to worldwide to make people aware and getting their support for germ plasm conservation. I have been thinking to do local breeds conservation programmes in the near future. Likeminded people are most welcome…. wherever you are in the corner of the Globe….
